There was a time when I didn’t have time for DIY projects. At the time, my time was worth more than paying someone professional to do a project. Over the years, however, I discovered a certain therapeutic value to some (not all) DIY projects. Consequently, I now do quite a few of them. Since retiring, I have more time, and I only do the things that I’m interested in learning how to do, or already know how to do and enjoy. Projects that are real “work”, or those requiring more expertise than I can acquire, are still left to the professionals.
I have a large property (3 acres) and have acquired quite a few machines to help me take care of the place. I’ll share my honest thoughts about my machines here, with all of the pros and cons. I also spend quite a bit of time in my 30×50 foot pole building, which is my shop and equipment storage location. I’ll share some of the activities there also.
